Yes, this is a candleholder, but you should never let a name limit your dreams. As my friend Will says, "What's in a name?" It's absolutely designed to hold candles, but why not a hot dog? Why not exactly three pencils? Why not an absurdly large crayon or secret messages? Sure, none of those things will provide more light to your house. Actually, if you hollowed out a hot dog and then put LED lights inside, it could absolutely work. See? There's no stopping human ingenuity.
On second thought, it's probably best as a candleholder.
