Have you ever seen the movie Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken? A 1991 classic, it follows the journey of Sonora and her horse Lightning as they compete in horse diving. Yes. You heard me. Horse diving. You ever think about how things are created? I assume it just takes someone doing something weird and then declaring, "Hell yeah. This is now a thing."
And you know that the first person who was like, "What if I rode those horse off a platform into a pool of water" said a hearty "hell yes" after pulling it off.
But also, it's origin has to be either an insane bet or lots of alcohol. Also, great movie.
